Create a Database Driven DHTML Menu - Step II

In this step we will insert the necessary layers and images on the page.

13. Click on a blank area of the page and then Insert > Layer. Open the Layers Panel (F2) if it is not already open, and click on the layer that you just inserted. In the Property Inspector, use the following settings.

14. On the page, click inside the logoLayer and then Insert > Image and select the logo.gif. Be sure to give the logo.gif an ALT definition in the Property Inspector.

15. Click on a blank area of the page and then Insert > Layer. Click on the layer that you just inserted and In the Property Inspector, use the following settings.

16. On the page, click inside the homeLayer and then Insert > Image and select the home.gif. Be sure to give the home.gif an ALT definition in the Property Inspector.

17. Click on a blank area of the page and then Insert > Layer. Click on the layer that you just inserted and In the Property Inspector, use the following settings.

18. On the page, click inside the TrigLayer and then Insert > Image and select the cats.gif. Be sure to give the cats.gif an ALT definition in the Property Inspector.

19. Click on a blank area of the page and then Insert > Layer. Click on the layer that you just inserted and In the Property Inspector, use the following settings.

20. On the page, click inside the catSubLayer and then Insert > Image and select the cats_over.gif. Be sure to give the cats_over.gif an ALT definition in the Property Inspector.

21. Click on the cats_over.gif and then hit the right arrow key on your keyboard one time. Then Insert Table and use the following settings.

22. Clink inside the table that you just inserted and then click on the <td> tag in the bottom of the Design View window. In the Property Inspector, change the Bg color to #009999. Right-click on the <td> and select Set Class > menu.
